ABC Corp supports you, whether you are planning a pregnancy, are already pregnant, are having difficulty becoming pregnant, are considering adoption, or even want to add a four-legged family member. Regardless of your specific situation, you’ll likely begin considering these aspects of your life from an entirely new perspective:

The benefits program at ABC Corp offers you support when you are planning to expand your family.

ABC Corp

Any event that changes your number of eligible dependents including birth, adoption, and legal guardianship would be considered a Qualifying Life Event. This would allow you to change benefit elections during the plan year outside of Annual Enrollment. Please note that in order to change your benefit elections, you may be required to show proof verifying that these changes have occurred (e.g., birth certificate, etc). You have 30 days from the date of the life event to submit your change.

ABC Corp cares! The ABC Corp Family Care Leave program allows you the flexibility to spend the time you need with your family during important periods of transition.

For Parents
Leave for mothers and fathers in the case of birth, adoption or foster care placement

  • Birth mothers are eligible for 100% of pay for up to 12 weeks.
  • New fathers and adoptive or domestic partner parents are eligible for up to 4 weeks of leave with full pay.

Cigna Medical Plan Benefits

If you are enrolled in one of the Cigna health plans, sign up for the Cigna Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies program as soon as you know you are pregnant. This program can help you and your baby stay healthy during your pregnancy and in the weeks following your baby’s birth.

Through the program, you’ll have access to:

  • Pregnancy coaches, with nursing experience who are available to support you during your whole pregnancy.
  • A pregnancy journal, with information, charts, and tools to help you have a happy nine months.
  • The Health Information Line, where you can get live support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call the number on your Cigna ID card to:
    • Talk to a nurse who can help you with everything from tips on how to handle your discomfort during pregnancy, to birthing classes, and maternity benefits.
    • Listen to an audio library of health topics.
  • The Cigna Healthy Pregnancy™ App, which allows you to easily track your pregnancy and learn about pregnancy topics, and engage in the Cigna Healthy Pregnancies, Healthy Babies program. Available on Google Play or the App Store.
  • Incentive awards program, where you can earn a $250 gift card for enrolling in your first trimester or a $125 gift card for enrolling in your second trimester.

Your Cigna medical plan includes coverage for a breast pump. Once you reach the 28th week of pregnancy, you can get a breast pump through Cigna at no additional cost.

Order through Cigna’s exclusive in-network provider, CareCentrix, by calling 877.320.2301, available M–F from 8 am–8 pm EST and Sat-Sun from 8 am–6 pm EST. You can also go online to medeladelivers.com.

  • You don’t need a prescription unless you are ordering a hospital-grade pump.
  • A starter kit is included at no cost, but you will have the option to purchase upgrades and accessories at a Cigna discounted rate.

Breast pumps are usually delivered within two weeks of receiving all documentation.
